Job Posting for Stewarding Manager- Luxury Hotel at the Chef Agency
Responsibilities:
Assume the operation of the department in the absence of the Director of Stewarding, maintaining operational standards in line with the Executive Chef and Executive Steward.
Provide direct supervision to stewarding supervisors daily, ensuring adherence to policies, inspecting operational flow, and maintaining quality standards.
Efficiently run the Stewarding Department, minimizing operating costs while meeting established performance standards within budgetary controls.
Execute company and hotel policies and procedures related to the Stewarding Department, advising the Director of Stewarding on department matters.
Ensure high standards of sanitation throughout stewarding areas, actively participate in the preparation of the department budget, and collaborate on purchasing decisions.
Oversee storage, requisitioning, inventory, and purchasing of cleaning supplies, china, glassware, cutlery, and other equipment.
Assist in taking and calculating material stock (inventory) quarterly, and establish performance standards for the department.
Maintain equipment to a high standard, report defects to maintenance, and manage scheduling, payroll, and the appraisal process for the department.
Qualifications:
Minimum one-year management experience in a food & beverage role, with preferred previous stewarding experience.
Two plus years as a Food & Beverage supervisor in an upscale high-volume hotel.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, develop, and motivate staff.
Ability to teach employees how to interact courteously with internal/external guests and solve internal requests.
Proficiency in managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery, and associate relations matters.
Strong organizational skills for multitasking and providing guest follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
Clear and pleasant communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
Computer proficiency and Serve Safe certified food manager.
Availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Physical ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 75 pounds without assistance and stand or walk for extended periods.

Pay: $53,789.00 - $60,000.00 per year
