Primary Job Function: The Quality Assurance performs inspections of inbound product received and performs quality assurance of outbound (in compliance with customers specifications) while following all the food safety standards (HACCP/CGMPs) practices and policies respectful to food safety standards.
General Duties:
Monitor daily quality of the product and reports any product issue to Supervisor.
Checks rotation, temperature controls and identifies spoilage.
Organizes items to match with labels in slots.
Maintain assigned cooler neat and organized and assists in conducting inventory.
Check quality on in-house product of the warehouse and inspect coolers.
Clean, maintain and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures.
Supports purchasing and sales staff with accurate information of product condition.
Responsible for adhering to food security, food safety regulations and policies (HACCP, CGMPs)
Must be able to perform other tasks duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager on duty
Qualifications:
Required Ability to work in cold (35-40 degrees)
One year experience in Produce quality control
Standing and walking for extended periods of time with flexible hours
Good understanding of quality, food safety, sanitation and hygiene policies and procedures.
Knowledge of product quality and good hand dexterity and eye coordination.
Basic cleaning of the assigned area sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters and scales.
Strong communication and organizational skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task and time management
Capability to follow instructions and procedures and willing to be trained
Ability to lift 45-50 pounds
Preferred:
Good team working skills, problem-solving skills, and the aptitude to work alone
