What are the responsibilities and job description for the Site Technician position at The Chemico Group?
The hours for this shift are 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. Applicants must be able to work this shift consistently once training is completed. This position is in a manufacturing environment and is not in a lab setting.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Analyze samples by titration and colorimeter per schedule
- Make chemical additions to tanks by automated pump and manual addition
- Test panels for coating weight and grain size in lab setting
- Analyze samples of various parts washers and coolant systems by titration or refractometer.
- Keep accurate records of all testing.
- Notify management of any abnormalities, system problems or out of spec test results.
- Work with appropriate site personnel to maintain chemical related equipment.
- Perform housekeeping activities in and around the phosphate system.
- Support on-site training requirements.
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years of technical experience in industrial manufacturing or technical environment preferred.
- Works independently; self-motivated and self-directed.
- Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet required.
- Prolonged periods of sitting, standing or walking in a large industrial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
