Summary
The dietitian/nutrition intern will provide support and delivery of nutrition support and guidance to the program staff and parents to guarantee that children are served well balanced nutritionist meals and snacks in alignment with the Head Performance Standards and CACFP requirements.
Essential Functions:
Support the kitchen team in preparing nutritionist meals
Provide educational activities to the classrooms staff, children and parents.
Provide recommendation to menu changes and implement new menu items.
Provide consultation to parents and staff
Monitor, review and provide guidance to the nutrition assessment

Maintain established departmental policies and procedures including compliance as per funding requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
Enrolled in a master's degree (MPH or MS) from an approved program in public health nutrition.
Experience in community nutrition including services to children, ages 0-6 and understanding of Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)
