Job Title: Banquet Captain
Job Summary: As a Banquet Captain at Holliday Farms, you will play a crucial leadership role in ensuring the successful execution of banquets and events within our exclusive residential and Pete Dye Golf Course Community in Zionsville, Indiana. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing food and beverage service for club members and guests during banquets, providing exceptional customer service, and managing a team of banquet servers. Job Tasks/Duties:
Coordinate and lead the banquet team in setting up and preparing the banquet area, ensuring that all required arrangements are made according to event specifications.
Oversee the prompt and attentive service to all members and guests attending the banquet, ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of professionalism.
Provide guidance and support to banquet servers, assigning tasks, and ensuring they are well-informed about menu items and service standards.
Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, including children, and address any special requests or accommodations.
Collaborate with the kitchen staff to communicate event requirements, special dietary needs, and any other necessary details.
Verify the accuracy of billing information, including account numbers and names, for seamless payment processing.
Monitor the efficiency and quality of food and beverage service, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
Exhibit strong knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and wine selections, to make suggestions that enhance the guest experience.
Handle any special cooking instructions or modifications to ensure guest satisfaction.
Oversee the assembly and presentation of dishes during the banquet, ensuring each course is served appropriately.
Maintain open communication with guests to address any concerns or feedback and promptly resolve any issues that arise.
Facilitate the clearing of tables and resetting them for subsequent courses, ensuring a clean and organized banquet area throughout the event.
Lead by example, displaying a positive and courteous attitude towards guests and team members alike.
Provide training and guidance to new banquet staff, ensuring they are well-versed in service standards and protocols.
Collaborate with the Banquet Manager and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless event execution and adherence to Holliday Farms' high standards.
Supervise the closing and clean-up procedures after each banquet, ensuring the banquet area is left in excellent condition.
Report any guest complaints or issues to the Banquet Manager promptly and follow through with appropriate solutions.
Maintain an in-depth understanding of local and state laws and the club's policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages during banquets.
