CLW provides services to adults with developmental disabilities in a workshop setting and is seeking an Assistant DD Day Program Manager in our New Paris OH, location.
The Assistant DD Day Program Manager's role is to assist the Administrator with overseeing the daily operation of the workshop and creating a healthy and safe environment for clients. Additionally, the Assistant DD Day Program Manager's primary duty will be to assist the Administrator with various functions of the workshop, as assigned.
- Act in the place of the Administrator when the Administrator is not present.
- Manage relationships between the workshop and the applicable residential facilities.
- Ensure adequate staffing of the workshop so that the workshop is in compliance with all applicable laws and rules regarding staff-to-client ratio.
- Maintain accurate inventory of workshop supplies and ensure procurement of such supplies when necessary.
- Ensure that clients physical and personal needs are met timely and appropriately.
- Instruct clients in the areas of maladaptive behavior reduction, self-help skills, communication skills, community living skills, domestic skills, prevocational skills, and ADL skills, as assigned.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and legible documentation of all programs, care given, and adverse behaviors.
- Protect clients from physical, mental, and verbal abuse, and ensure the protection of all individual and human rights of the clients.
- Develop and implement client programs.
- Ensure compliance at all times with the clients Individual Service Plans.
- Provide transportation of clients and ensure that all motor vehicles are in good working condition before any use.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
The successful candidate must be at least 21 years old, have a bachelors degree in Health & Human Services or related field AND at least 2 yrs. exp. in DD, healthcare, social services, or day hab. services. Prior exp. working w/ DD individuals in areas of occupational/social skills, developing/executing behavior plans & other programs, dealing appropriately/effectively w/clients & staff, effective communication/comprehension, & relevant management exp. is required.
Candidate must pass background checks & drug screen, possess a valid drivers license, and pass a DOT physical.
