The College of Idaho invites applications for the position of Associate Director of the Doctor of
Medical Sciences (DMSc) program at the College of Idaho. This is a full-time (12-month)
faculty/administrative hybrid position. The Associate Director will work closely with the Director
and program faculty/staff to develop and launch an online, asynchronous DMSc program with the
mission to provide PAs with knowledge and competencies to contribute to advance their careers
across a range of health care roles and systems.

The Associate Director will work closely with the Director to teach in and administer aspects of the
DMSc program, including admissions, curriculum development and evaluation, faculty and staff
recruitment, program marketing, and student support services.

As a faculty member in the College, the Associate Director will provide part-time instruction in the
doctoral curriculum, oversee faculty teams,and provide service to the institution and professional
community. This position does not have research responsibilities.

This position provides for the opportunity to work remotely from almost anywhere in the United
States without relocation or hybrid in the Boise/Treasure Valley area. Work requires collaboration
with other team members during our standard business hours and may be required, on occasion, to
report to our Caldwell, ID campus.

Qualifications
Candidates must be a NCCPA-certified PA or PA-C Emeritus and have successfully completed a
doctoral degree in health care-related discipline by position start date. Candidates must also
possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant clinical or other health care-related work experience,
have experience teaching coursework in or related to the field of health systems science (social
determinants of health, population health, clinical informatics, health care finance and delivery
systems, etc.), teaching in an online, asynchronous health care-related program, and leadership
experience within a PA or health care-related educational program. Candidates must have access to
reliable internet.

Priority will be given to candidates who possess a familiarity with the latest developments in
graduate PA and health care education, as well as emerging trends in the clinical environment; have
an understanding of the current state of health care, including value-based care, quality and safety,
finance and delivery; have demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, students, and
colleagues in a diverse, equitable, and inclusive learning and working environment; possess prior
administrative experience within a PA or health care-related educational program; and/or have
proficiency in managing an online program focused on Post-professional doctoral degrees.
