Overview

In the Rides and Attractions department, our team is dedicated to a great guest experience every day. We value safety, teamwork and fun as we operate all Zoo Attractions. If you can deliver that experience at the 4D Theater, the train ride, or even our playgrounds, then Zoo Attractions is the adventure you have been waiting for!

Responsibilities

• Enhance the Zoo and Zoombezi Bay’s atmosphere by providing an inviting and exciting rides and attractions experience.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of attractions.
• Engage with guests, answers questions and provides detailed safety instructions.
• Assist guests during boarding and unloading
• Properly check safety restraints and ride area
• Remain attentive and alert at all times in order to react to different situations efficiently
• Provide GREAT guest service.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the attraction’s area.
• Cooperate with area animal keepers and program staff
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Posted schedule may be subject to change based on operational needs such as weather condition, guest attendance and department needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age
• Must pass all applicable certification tests
• Able to work in varied weather conditions (i.e. extreme heat, rain).
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Possess or be willing to obtain a valid driver’s license
• Able to maintain courteous and helpful behavior.
• Able to work with diverse guest population including all ages and backgrounds.
• Able to maintain appropriate employee appearance.
• Able to work flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• This position is not eligible for overtime pay.
