Summary:
Seeking a temporary Project Manager- Intermediate. The role will be to Coordinate State Revolving Fund/Bipartisan Infrastructure Law tasks - liaising between a Center for Drinking Water Quality (CDWQ) and: Infrastructure Bank; the Governor's infrastructure funding task force; the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); and RIDOH leadership regarding grant deliverables, status updates, fiscal review, contracts, and other related work as needed. Managing contracts related to the federal infrastructure funding.
Responsibilities:
Grant/contract management:
Oversee personnel vacancies and recruitment - in consultation with the Chief of the Center for Drinking water Quality (CDWQ), oversee the Personnel Action Request (PAR) process; liaise with RIDOH finance, RIDOH Director's office, Human Resources and other Department of Administration divisions for status updates, next steps, creative hiring solutions, etc.; and provide updates to the Chief of CDWQ.
Knowledge, Skills, and Capacities:
A thorough knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of health or science program administration as it applies to a health or science program and the ability to apply such knowledge in assisting with the coordination, planning, and organization of a health or science program; the ability to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of a health or science program and to make recommendations to a superior for improvements and/or maintenance; the ability to develop a health program budget and to monitor the fiscal activities of the program; the ability to manage grants and contracts; the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, associates, state, federal and local officials, and the general public; the ability to prepare written reports; the ability to communicate, summarize, and translate technical information to non-technical audiences; and related capacities and abilities.
Education and Experience:
Education: gained through graduation from a college of recognized standing with specialization in public health, public administration, business administration, hospital administration, or a related field; and Experience: Such as may have been gained through employment in a responsible position involving hospital, public, business, or health administration. Or any combination of education and experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
