Bullseye Home Enhancement Inc. is seeking a meticulous and skilled Cabinet Finisher to join our team. As a Cabinet Finisher, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to our custom cabinetry, ensuring that each piece meets our exacting standards for appearance and durability. Your role is critical in delivering the final touch that transforms our cabinetry into beautiful, lasting installations for our residential remodeling projects.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Surface Preparation: Sand, clean, and prepare wooden surfaces for finishing.- Finish Application: Apply stains, paints, varnishes, and other finishes using various techniques, including spraying, brushing, and wiping.
- Color Matching: Mix and match stains and paints to achieve the desired color and finish as per project specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished surfaces for uniformity and adherence to quality standards, making any necessary touch-ups or corrections.
- Maintenance: Maintain and clean finishing tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations to ensure a safe working environment, including proper ventilation and protective gear.
- Record Keeping: Maintain records of finishes, materials used, and any relevant notes for future reference.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cabinet builders, designers, and project managers to ensure finishes meet design requirements and project timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest finishing techniques and materials to continuously improve the quality of your work.
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in cabinet finishing or a similar role.
- Skills: Proficiency in various finishing techniques and tools, including sprayers, brushes, and sanders.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge: Understanding of different wood types and how they react to various finishes.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials as required.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and solve finishing issues efficiently.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in wood finishing is a plus.
- Safety: Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Proficiency in Using Hand Tools for Woodworking: Experience in utilizing hand tools for precision work.
- Experience with Trim Carpentry Techniques: Familiarity with trim carpentry and detailed woodwork.
- Knowledge of Cabinet Building and Installation: Understanding of cabinet construction and installation processes.
