JOB SUMMARY
The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for performing health care and related tasks within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing and the policy and procedures of The Counseling Center.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions are duties, which are essential or primary to the position or the reason the position exists. An individual must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Provides patient care and nursing services as allowed within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Provides Behavioral Health education to patients individually and in group settings.
- Works with other program staff to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and patients.
- Assists RN in maintaining accurate and up to date policies and procedures, protocols, and standing orders as well as compliance issues required by funding, licensure, and certifying bodies.
- Positively represents the department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance and attitude.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all time as required by 42 CFR and HIPAA.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS
Secondary functions are duties, which are not exclusive of the position, can be performed by other positions; however, secondary duties are to be performed for the efficiency of The Counseling Center.
- Assists with office tasks as needed
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the Director, General Manager, or Clinical Coordinator

- Demonstrates appropriate understanding of working with confidential material and situations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, INCLUDING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Holds and maintains licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN in the state of Ohio.
- Prior experience working in patient/family health care environment preferred
- Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred
