The Courville at Nasha is a Senior Healthcare Community in Nashua, NH. We;re looking for an Activity Assistant. The successful candidate will be energetic, creative individual interested in enriching the lives of our amazing residents: music, art, outings, exercise, games, and fun!
Full-time position (32 hours) available. Part-time position for someone available in the evenings, on weekends, and during holidays. The Courville at Nashua does a wide range of activities and events for both the ALF, SNC, and LTC residents and staff. As a member of the activities department, you get to help the director plan it all!

Job Description: The Activities Assistant will assist the director in planning and implementing resident activities. Additionally, the Activities Assistant will provide social and emotional support to individual residents in accordance with established standards, guidelines and regulations in regards to resident safety. Successful candidates have the ability to think independently, will be self-motivated, organized, and must have a positive, upbeat attitude.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Enthusiastically run daily activities that engage our residents
- Develop new activities that appeal to the different interests of our residents
- Safely transport residents to and from activities
- Observe the status of residents regarding physical, emotional, social and spiritual health and report all changes in status to nursing staff
- Observe resident's rights
- Assist in evacuation of residents in an emergency
- Report to work as scheduled and demonstrate dependability and punctuality
- Work cooperatively/assist with other departments
- Represent the facility to family and community events
- Attend in-services, as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements: The Activities Assistant must be able to safely and successfully perform job-related functions, with or without reasonable accommodations required by federal, state or local law. They must also:
- LNA license or interest in getting and LNA license preferred but not required
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language
- Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Be able to move intermittently throughout the work day
- Meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility which include a medical and physical examination
- Be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times, hostile people within the center
Experience working in a skilled nursing environment is a plus!
