General Description
Responsible for collections of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base and all other aspects of collections, resolving customer problems and reducing accounts receivable delinquency.
Essential Job Functions
- Review open accounts for collection efforts
- Make collection calls.
- Type and mail credit memos, vouchers, invoices, statements, and collection letters.
- Analyze paying habits of customers who are delinquent in payment of account and responsible for collections of outstanding debt
- Communicate customers by telephone and by mail to investigate complaints, verify accuracy of charges, or to correct errors in accounts.
Other Skills & Abilities
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as interest and percentages
- Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required
- Ability to work independently and to adapt to a fast changing environment.
- Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy.
- Effectively communicate with internal and external customers
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 Years of corporate collections, rating and billing experience
Physical Requirements
- Talking, hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
- Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Job may require extended sitting or standing, use of standard office equipment.
