Recruiter/Staffing Coordinator
The Recruiter/Staffing Coordinator will support Talent Acquisition efforts on a regional basis by acting as a dedicated recruiting resource and will be responsible for sourcing, attracting and screening skilled trades applicants. This role will report directly to the Director of Talent Management but will have dotted line responsibilities to the local area managers. This position will be based in our Cortland, NY regional office. This is an immediate opportunity and is due to our continued growth. We are seeking a high energy, results driven individual who wants to be an integral part of the team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Source and attract high caliber skilled trades type talent
- Utilize all means necessary to find hidden talent pools in the area
- Conduct initial applicant prescreening phone calls and recommend qualified candidates to individual hiring managers for follow up interview and/or hire
- Assist with the scheduling pre-employment drug tests and physical assessment testing
- Obtain necessary release forms to conduct pre-employment background checks
- Coordinate the completion of all new hire and rehire paperwork
- Assist candidates with questions during the onboarding process
- Help manage and track all key pre hire metrics
- Provide additional administrative support for the department as needed
Skills and Experience:
Required:
- 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently
- MS Word and Excel skills
- Prior staffing, recruiting or Human Resources experience
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-volume hiring environment
Preferred:
- Associate’s Degree (the equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
- Previous experience in the construction or services industry
- Prior Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience
