Job Summary
If you are looking for a fun place to work with a great team atmosphere, look no further! We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to direct patient flow under the supervision/direction of a physician. The person in this position will be responsible for patient flow, including preparing medical records, checking patients in and out, answering phones, scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations and assisting with daily activities to ensure that the office is functioning accurately.
We have full and part-time positions available.
In this position you will: Be responsible for provider support to include assisting the providers and patients with paperwork, patient follow-up, returning calls and other assigned tasks to meet patients' needs. Perform clerical duties to maintain effective office operations, while continuing to provide support to the providers. Anticipate provider needs and prepare for patient visits including obtaining test results, and health information from outside sources including hospitals. Manage referrals and pre-authorizations. Answer incoming calls from patients. Schedule patients as needed. Check patients in at front desk as needed.
Required qualifications for this position include: High school diploma or equivalent. MUST HAVE MINIMUM ONE YEAR IN A MEDICAL OFFICE and be familiar with local medical insurance plans.
We will also consider a Medical Assistant for this position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
