What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at The Doctors Gonzalez, PLLC?

We are searching for a highly motivated individual for a medical office receptionist position.

Job Duties:

  • Provide excellent customer service to patients
  • Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
  • Complete administrative duties, such as filing, scanning, faxing, copying, and printing
  • Organize office layout and keep up with office supplies
  • Maintain the office condition and arrange necessary repairs
  • Ensure that all items are invoiced and paid on time
  • Manage accurate cash, check, and credit transactions
  • Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations
  • Call in/fax prescriptions to pharmacies
  • Create or complete reports upon request
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 1-year previous medical office experience
  • Able to communicate in person and by telephone in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the demonstrated ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and pay close attention to detail; ability to prioritize assigned tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
  • Must have strong writing skills
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.37 - $18.51 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Benefits:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
