What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bartender position at The Dorset Inn?
· Provide polite, courteous and professional servicecreating a memorable guest experience
· Knowledgeable of all menu items/bar items/specials
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to workeffectively with co-workers and guests
· Possess team work skills
· Take orders/deliver food and drinks
· Anticipate guest needs/listening skills
· Understand elements of fine dining service and be ableto implement nightly – knowledge of proper wine service
· Collect payment from guests
· Effectively represent company/greetingarriving/departing guests
· Clear glasses, plates, flatware, linens in a properfashion that is not obtrusive to guest service
· Available to work days, nights, weekends and holidays& functions
· Ability to move effectively in four season/inclementweather on property
· Able to stand for entire shift and lift 30 pounds
· Retain working knowledge of Point of Sale system
· Complete cash out/tip out at end of shift
· Organizational and cleaning skills required
· Must be able to multi task
· Know the VT liquor laws and maintain valid serverlicense
· Wear the mandated uniform in each establishment. Everything clean & pressed and free ofdefects. Some pieces may be available for purchase directly from therestaurant. Some may be supplied. Skid proof shoes are a must.
· Knowledge of all properties and amenities offered
· End of night cleaning and restocking of all diningareas for next service
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
