Dow has an exciting and challenging opportunity for an Associate IT Analyst within the ESS Portfolio Acceleration Infrastructure Management Team (IAT) located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX! The role will align to Dow's Design Your Day approach and allows employees flexibility by choosing when to work remotely and when to attend on-site activities based on project work and role needs. About you and this role As an Associate IT Analyst, you will be responsible for executing the technical project deliverables (technical requirements, logical and detailed system design, security design, and support procedures) for a suite of Manufacturing and Engineering (M&E), Emergency Services & Security (ES&S), and Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Windows and Linux based applications. You will also provide technically focused project expertise to a M&E/ES&S/ISC global partner base and related technologies. You will be responsible for working to provide timely, effective and highly focused expert support in order to maximize the partner's effectiveness. In this role, you will apply conceptual knowledge to assist in designing, developing, and supporting solutions and processes to meet business needs and requirements. Accompanied by significant guidance, you will work in a business process, enabling, or implementation team, and apply general knowledge of Information Systems. In this role, you will require conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures as well as having general business knowledge related to your discipline and functional area. You will need to have the ability to exchange straightforward information with others and ask questions to check for understanding. It is your responsibility to use established procedures and practice to analyze and resolve standard problems. You will be accountable for assigned contributions with no direct supervisory responsibilities and you will need to use established procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines. Responsibilities Uses conceptual knowledge to gather business requirements for assigned functional and technical areas Provides project and technical expertise within the team Works with Solution Managers and Senior Solution Manager in the project scoping process Provides expert level support to the team that does run-the-business support for the suite of M&E/ES&S apps supported by I/S Participates in timely implementations of strategic solutions Implements systems/platform upgrades and fixes Provides a technical role in analyzing complex problems involving Microsoft Windows, Red Hat Linux, telecommunications, and security technologies Works closely with business process teams, technical teams, and other stakeholders to design and build solutions which meet requirements, conform to Dow architecture standards, and optimize productivity and long-term product/system vision Learns how to conduct issue resolution Available for off-hours communication to help in resolving incidents as needed Available for limited off hours work to support upgrades and implementations as needed Ability to travel as needed for project work within the US Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years relevant experience, or relevant military experience at a U.S. E6 rank or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or higher A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
