As a Dyno Tester and Equipment Packager, your role is crucial in ensuring the quality of our concrete construction equipment and preparing it for shipping. Your responsibilities include:
- Dyno Testing: Operate and maintain the Dyno for testing ride-on trowels, using the correct program for each model. Inspect units for paint defects, leaks, and other issues. Document Dyno data such as blade speed and gearbox heat.
- Equipment Packaging: Prepare machinery, vehicles, and other concrete construction equipment for shipping by following these steps:
- Read and interpret prints, shipping notices, and specifications to determine packaging requirements.
- Measure and cut materials to size, constructing wooden crates or boxes.
- Safely operate hand tools, air-powered tools, a radial arm saw, and a skill saw.
- Securely pack products in containers, adding appropriate padding and strapping.
- Build crates around larger items and secure crate covers.
- Attach identification labels or stencils to crates.
- Verify that all items to be packed are included and accounted for.
- Move packed containers to the shipping area.
- Safety and Communication: Safely operate hoists and forklifts as needed for lifting and moving heavy equipment. Pay careful attention to handling machinery and equipment. Communicate effectively with department lead to ensure smooth operations.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency of the department.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand tools, air-powered tools, hoists, radial arm saw, and forklift.
- Ability to read basic instructions and measurements.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Strong problem-solving skills in standardized situations.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Good vision, including close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Ability to work with chemicals and adhere to safety protocols.
- Comfortable working in a noisy environment with required hearing protection.
