Responsibilities:
- Calculating and collecting payments for medical procedures and services.
- Oversees the tasks of sending invoices to clients and monitoring outstanding balances to ensure each account is paid on time and in full.
- Responsible for researching denied accounts and other duties as needed
- Appealing denied claims and recording late payments.
- Following up on missed payments and resolving financial discrepancies.
- Examining patient bills for accuracy and requesting any missing information.
- Investigating and appealing denied claims.
- Helping patients develop patient payment plans.
- Process payments and refunds
- Responsible for researching denied accounts and other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Friendly, personable demeanor
- Detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task
- 2 years of experience as a medical biller
- Preference for specialty medicine billers
