As a Project Manager at The Economist Group (TEG), this position encompasses administrative and project tracking responsibilities. Duties include composing client correspondence, creating presentations and working closely with the internal team to meet client needs. The successful candidate will be adept at multitasking, problem-solving, managing multiple timelines and working across functions on occasion. The Project Manager will perform tactical tasks effectively and with minimal supervision; develop collaborative relationships with internal team members (art directors, editors, sales, digital delivery, creative, strategy, etc.); display clear communication; have an eye for detail and help ensure projects are completed on time and up to the standard of TEG. This role reports into an Senior Editor and is part of a larger dedicated account team.
Accountabilities
How you will contribute
- Understand the vision set forth by the team to meet client’s marketing objectives
- Be able to form strong relationships with internal stakeholders to efficiently manage multiple projects in a timely manner
- Take initiative on assignments and assist the team to ensure the success of the client account
- Understand all of the types of work TEG is providing a particular client and how it is connected to the client’s goals
- Review creative and strategic deliverables before they are sent to the client to ensure quality is up to the TEG standards
- Assist with administrative tasks including, but not limited to: invoicing, note-taking, creation of project status reports and deck creation
- Perform market research on the client and their industry and add to strategic brainstorm sessions to ensure the work contributes to the client’s goals

- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be proficient in G-Suite (Google Drive, Gmail, Google Docs) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Be a self-starter and a good proactive thinker
- Have the ability to prioritise work and to meet deadlines in a demanding environment
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Basecamp, Slack, Workbook and Smartsheet a plus
