Anticipated End Date: 2024-07-08 Position Title: Business Information Consultant Job Description: Business Information Consultant [AID060] Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of the following PulsePoint location. 5800 Northampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm The Business Information Consultant will develop database objects such as Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, and Tables to facilitate Operational and Financial Reporting needs. How you will make an impact: • Facilitate automation of manual reporting processes by developing ETL packages and deploying them to Production to run on a regular schedule. • Analyze different data sources to identify new opportunities for building end-to-end solutions in the reporting database. • Support and maintain the integrity of the reporting database by adhering to the industry standards when developing database objects. • Participate in peer review for code deployments, QA, and UAT by team members when promoting their tasks to production. • Develop financial and operational KPI dashboards and visualizations in Tableau based on the business requirements. • Mentor and train junior associates on the databases and applications developed to support the business needs. • Act as a subject matter expert on complex data warehouse architecture and create mapping documents for developers with data definition and system capabilities. (818070) Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Informatics, Data Science, or related. Five (5) years of experience in related occupation(s). Additional Requirements: Five (5) years of experience must include: • Five (5) years of experience with SQL Server Database programming (TSQL). • Three (3) years of experience with reporting tools including SQL Server Reporting Services, Tableau, and Power BI. • Two (2) years experience with ETL tools including SQL Server Integration Services and Informatica. • Two (2) years experience with job schedulers including Tidal, Control-M, and SQL Agent. • Two (2) years experience with source control tools including Subversion, Bitbucket, and Team Foundation Server. • Four (4) years experience with software development life cycle deployments using Agile methodologies including Scrum, DevOps, and Kanban. • Two (2) years of experience with workflow automation platforms including JIRA and ServiceNow.
