Billing Customer Service Representative
Responsibilities
- Providing friendly customer service for patient billing issues.
- Answering patient inquiries regarding insurance processing.
- Triaging patient questions to the appropriate billing department when claims need to be resubmitted.
- Negotiating patient arrangements when necessary.
- Assisting in processing patient statements.
Required Skills
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement processes.
- Familiarity with HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Strong computer and typing skills.
- Ophthalmology/optometry terminology background is a plus.
