Job Overview:
We are seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a restaurant/kitchen and the ability to handle day-to-day kitchen operations. As a Kitchen Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the kitchen staff as well as working with front of house management to ensure food quality standards and customer satisfaction is met. The kitchen supervisor is responsible for ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment by regular maintenance of equipment.
Duties:
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff in daily operations
- Ensure food preparation meets quality standards
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
- Train new kitchen employees on procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the culinary or food service industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Experience in shift management and scheduling is a plus
- Background in bartending or dietary department operations is advantageous
