About the Position
Farm at Dover Bartenders are responsible for preparing and serving beverages during weddings and events.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be proficient in preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
- Act with absolute integrity and honesty
- Hold a valid bartending license or complete the Wisconsin Responsible Beverage Server Certification course
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be able to grip objects and tools (including wet or slippery items), utilize fine motor skills, and lift up to 25 pounds
Hours & Schedule
We’re looking for a candidate who is available on weekends (Friday nights, Saturday nights, and some Sunday nights, depending on our wedding schedule) and willing to work a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 shifts per month from May through October. You’ll receive all event dates for the summer so you can choose your shifts in advance.
What we’ll expect from you:
- Assist with bartending needs for full-service events and weddings
- Provide guests with prompt, seamless service to avoid long wait times and lines
- Ensure the bar operates smoothly, keeping the bar area and equipment clean and tidy
- Based on the event drink menu, craft cocktails, pour beer and wine, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests
- Keep bars stocked with ice, liquor, beverages, napkins, straws, glassware, and garnishes
- Execute bar set-up and take-down
- Learn items on drink menu and know how to make classic cocktails; knowledge of proper drink proportions and proper glassware is preferred
- Maintain high-quality standards as it pertains to client service, drink presentation, safety, and health standards
- Assist with other duties as necessary or assigned to ensure event success
- Most importantly, we expect you to show up for yourself, your team, and our clients
