What are the responsibilities and job description for the Applications Workflow Supervisor position at The First National Bank in Sioux Falls?

Position Summary:

The Applications Workflow Supervisor administers and supports the Fiserv application software including ancillary products (BPM, Originate, etc). In this role you will administer and support the Bank’s CRM product (Salesforce), working with the architecture of the system and mapping of data structures. You will administer and support the Advantage Billing System and work directly with the Advantage Department to maintain the system. The Applications Workflow Supervisor serves as a contact person and facilitator providing ongoing support to end-users in an effort to maximize the effectiveness of the Bank’s systems throughout their life cycle. In this role you will evaluate the current processes in place, compile the data, and recommend new and innovative processes to improve and automate functions.

What will you do:

Accountabilities

Leadership Management Accountability (LMA)

Lead with clear direction, providing the necessary tools to delegate and elevate for growth and development of teammates. Communicate well, own expectations and consequences.

  • Responsible for leading, managing and holding their direct reports accountable.
  • Lead and inspire their team to strive for the best outcomes.
  • Take ownership of the development of direct reports and makes sure that team-members are challenged and engaged.
  • Ensure that direct reports are trained and delivering value to our customers and to the bank.
  • Address performance issues in an effective and meaningful manner.
  • Hold regular 1:1's, quarterly conversations, and Team meetings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages collaboration, teamwork, and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and Application Operation Manager to identify staffing needs for upcoming projects.
  • Allocate staff as appropriate to cover both project work and day to day activities.
  • Manage expectations when staff is not available, communicate as appropriate.

Application Development, Integration, Support & Administration

Conduct application development, provide necessary support and administration to achieve team goals and objectives.

  • Monitor and manage the workflow queues to ensure tasks are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Identify bottlenecks and process inefficiencies and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Develop workflows to aid the business units in task automation to gain efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of application modules/systems as well as an awareness of associated hardware, operating systems, utilities, and network infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement training on best practices in workflow development, training and roll out.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of workflow processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for systems integration development, support, and administration.
  • Utilize BPM, SQL, ETL Tools and MoveIt, etc. to develop integrations between systems.
  • Develop and implement training on utilization of applications and best practices for implementation.
  • Complete documentation for any integrations created or supported.

Quality Assurance

Provide quality assurance, maintenance, and support as necessary to meet departmental goals and objectives.

  • Complete quality assurance testing on any applications or integrations developed in house or rolled out by a third party.
  • Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and mitigate risks.
  • Train staff on proper testing techniques and documentation.
  • Analyze and report on key performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; preferred. Five or more years of relevant experience supporting technology systems, three or more years of supervisory experience, or a combination of education/experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position. Thorough knowledge of Fiserv software, report writer systems, File Transfer Protocols, SQL, Salesforce, ETL and Workflow tools preferred. Must be knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite and development tools.
