Description
Position Summary
The occupant of this position is responsible for providing service to bank officers, loan support staff, fellow associates and external customers by performing all duties and responsibilities outlined in this job description both currently existing and/or future procedures developed whether in the form of a manual or verbal communication. Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor or Bank Management.
Essential Functions
- Prepare reports, memos, financial statements and other correspondence using word processing, spreadsheet, database or presentation software as assigned by supervisor.
- Greet visitors and determine whether they should be given access to specific individuals.
- Prepare daily mailings.
- Perform Notary Public duties.
- Prepare receipts for abstracts and collateral.
- Release mortgages with loan officer approval.
- Process mail.
- Customer service for internal and external customers.
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
- Assist in analyzing applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
- Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
- Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements and other financial information.
- Assist in reviewing loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
- Ensure each loan submitted has the required paperwork, tickets signature, ect., to reduce the possibility of loss and assist in the efficient processing of the loan.
- Assist officers in working exceptions, maintaining spreadsheets, ect.
- Prepare loan documents.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities
Computer Skills
Intermediate computer skills required. Light typing, e-mail etiquette, and Excel usage will be mandatory.
Education
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Training
The associate shall attend regular meetings and bank functions as requested or assigned by bank management and/or the Trainer. At a minimum, this position should receive training on BSA, Reg P, Fair Lending, Fair Debt Collection, HMDA, Reg Z, Security and Title VII.
