The FNB Community Bank is the only locally owned community bank in Bond, Fayette and Marion Counties. Established in 1865, we currently have seven locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. A Trust Officer position is currently available at our Vandalia location.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Trust Officer is a financial professional responsible for managing and administering trust, foundation, and estate accounts that are serviced by the Trust Department. This role requires a strong understanding of finance, estate planning and fiduciary trust principles. The Trust Officer is responsible for providing expert advice and administration of fiduciary accounts. This role involves managing assets, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing exceptional customer service to clients and beneficiaries. Below is a detailed job description for a Trust Officer:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Develop and maintain strong relationships with trust clients and prospects
● Act as a primary point of contact for clients and beneficiaries, addressing their needs and inquiries
● Create and maintain trust account records and files according to established procedures
● Oversee the investment of trust assets
● Review accounts, ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided by informing customers of current market trends and recommending investment strategies
● Ensure timely distribution of income and principal to beneficiaries
● Review and execute estate settlement processes, including asset transfer and tax filings
● Interact with attorneys, accountants, investment representatives & other professionals
● Maintain and update procedure manuals
● Manage risk associated with trust accounts, including monitoring for fraud or suspicious activity
● Coordinate with trust accounting system provider on computer problems and updates
● Stay up-to-date with changes in trust, estate, and foundation laws and regulations
● Represent the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with customers, potential customers, and coworkers
● Assist and support in the implementation of all marketing and sales strategies designed to maximize growth and profitability
● Cross-sell and refer a full range of investment and banking services to present and potential customers
● Maintain up-to-date job knowledge through professional reading and affiliation with appropriate industry organizations
● Perform other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
● Review and comply with all state and federal regulations and FNB policies and procedures

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job is performed in a professional office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Prolonged sitting and intermittent mental and visual concentration will be required. Hours worked are generally during normal business hours and average 40-45 hours a week. Travel to other offices and client locations is required. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.

● Must be able to push/pull up to 20 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
● Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
● Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field (A Juris Doctorate or Certified Financial Planner designation may be preferred.)
● Strong understanding of trust, estate, and foundation laws, regulations, and financial markets
● Previous experience in trust administration or estate planning is highly desirable
● Ability to communicate effectively with people both internally and externally
● Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at one time; flexible; adaptable
● Understanding concurrence of trust operations within bank philosophy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
