The French Market is currently looking for a customer service-oriented store manager to oversee operations at our Colts Neck location. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring and training new retail sales associates/baristas. Duties include administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels and managing budgets. The ideal candidate will be able to set and maintain high customer service standards, meet monthly sales goals and foster a positive working environment. You should have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service to ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Hire, train and oversee staff
  • Motivate the team to meet sales goals
  • Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Monitor inventory levels and order stock when required
  • Complete store administration tasks and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • Degree in business administration, retail management or related field preferred
  • At least three years of experience in a retail or cafe environment, preferably a management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • High level of customer service skills
  • Proven experience hiring and training quality staff
  • Knowledge of business management processes

Duties:

- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions accurately
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and merchandise products
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
- Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory management and data entry

Experience:

- Strong math skills for handling cash transactions and calculating discounts
- Administrative experience for managing paperwork and inventory records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone
- Organizational skills for maintaining a clean and organized sales floor
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
