Barista

The Fresh Monkee LLC in Manchester, CT is looking for one barista to join our team. We are located at 1540 Pleasant Valley Road. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

The Fresh Monkee creates made-to-order Truly Healthy protein shakes. We make our drinks with clean protein, a milk or non-dairy milk base, unsweetened fruits or vegetables, and other healthy and filling ingredients. Our customers come to us for meal replacements, workout recovery, or just a healthy snack! They look to us for guidance in their nutrition journeys and we have many regulars who build our shakes part into their daily or weekly routine.

Wage starts at $15 per hour, but tips usually add up to $3-$7 an hour, and sometimes even more!

Must be available to work weekday mornings, weekday nights, and at least 1 weekend day. We open at 7am and close at 7pm, 9am to 5pm on weekends.

Hours currently available: around 20-25 per week (and possibly more in future available based on performance)

Restaurant industry experience required

Responsibilities

*Prepare cold (and hot) drinks in accordance with customer needs *Memorize over 30 recipes and be able to prepare multiple shakes at once *Interact with customers regularly and professionally, answer questions about the nutritional benefits of our shakes and make recommendations based on customers' goals *Maintain a clean and tidy work area and front of shop *Follow health and safety guidelines *Have the ability to work quickly, multi task with common sense and stay calm under pressure *Must be reliable/dependable/punctual and flexible with schedule

Qualifications

*Proven working experience in restaurant industry required *High integrity with a great attendance record *Strong attention to detail *Ability to listen and communicate effectively
