Under the general direction and supervision of the Human Resources Director and in collaboration with the Finance Department and Legal Department, plans, organizes and administers the company Workers' Compensation program, including the review, reporting and processing of claims and legal documents as follows:

  • Oversees the management of employee injury cases, investigates claims. Develops, implements, and monitors workers’ compensation claims reporting forms, procedures and activities. Responsible for performing risk assessments and providing recommendations for loss mitigation.
  • Closely monitors litigation status on elevated claim files. Attends depositions and hearings of litigated claims. Participates in annual and mid-term claim reviews with broker and carrier representatives. Reviews proposed third-party claims settlements with management.
  • Provides and maintains accurate records of claims and manages leaves of absences related to workers' compensation claims. Responsible for maintaining and reporting OSHA 300 information.
  • Spearheads the company's safety committee to strategize in promoting a safer work environment. Manages employee wellness and employee incentive programs.
  • Serves as liaison between the company and any third-party in connection with a workers’ compensation claim including, but not limited to, outside counsel, insurance companies, adjusters, and medical professionals.
  • Responsible for adherence to established policies and procedures and compliance of state and federal laws connected with these functions.
  • This position may also be assigned various Human Resources related duties.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
