What are the responsibilities and job description for the 88-Housekeeper position at The Garibaldi Company?

To ensure clean, orderly, and attractive conditions of common areas and vacant apartments of apartment project managed by the Company by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following; however, other duties may be assigned as needed. The following list is only a partial list and cannot encompass all of the essential duties and responsibilities of the Housekeeper.

  • Clean office, clubhouse, rest rooms, laundry rooms, fitness center, and model daily. (dust, vacuum, etc.)
  • Clean vacant apartments for new resident.
  • At least once per week, detail model, including windows.
  • Empty trash receptacles at each location.
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory, submit order to management weekly.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, regulations, housekeeping policies and activities as outlined by management. Wear all safety equipment provided, as necessary. i.e. masks, goggles, gloves, knee pads, back brace, etc.
  • Keep storage areas clean and neat. Storage areas are to be secured and locked.
  • Assist management staff in all areas requested or needed.

Qualifications : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience :
Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


Language Skills :
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.


Mathematical Skills :
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
