Compensation Minimum:$89,800.00 Compensation Maximum:$134,700.00Job Description and Responsibilities:
Job Level Summary
- Provides analytics services to the business.
- Develops new insights and understands the business performance based on data and statistical methods.
- Analyzes business results, external market dynamics and other data sources to assess trends and develop actionable insights and recommendations to management, via understanding of the business model and the information available for analysis.
- Typically uses data, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and fact-based management to drive decision making.
Primary Accountabilities
- Works with business partners in the development and delivery of key performance analysis, reporting, and evaluation.
- Builds and maintains various models used to project business results; enhances the model where there is business value in adjusting the models.
- Ensures analysis and reporting accuracy and integrity and explains performance drivers and provides insights into performance trends.
- Creates, executes and maintains forecasting models; speaks to the underlying assumptions and inter-workings of the model used to create the forecast.
- Communicates findings to various stakeholders and leadership with recommendations for actions to address business changes, trends, and issues.
- Evaluates, designs, tests and maintains data/analytics systems and make recommendations for new tools and system enhancements.
Education & Licenses
- BA/BS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, Actuarial Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience required.
- MA/MS degree preferred.
- 1-3 years’ automobile insurance/ traditional and digital marketing/ insurance customer
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements
- Demonstrated experience building predictive models utilizing advanced statistical analysis, including generalized linear models, decision trees, logistic and multivariate regression.
- Demonstrated experience communicating business implications of complex data relationships and results of statistical models to multiple business partners
- Demonstrated experience utilizing advanced descriptive statistics and analysis techniques (such as forecasting, analysis of variance, t-tests, categorical data analysis, nonparametric data analysis, cluster analysis, factor analysis, multivariate statistical analysis)
- Design business experiments and measure the impact of business actions
- Demonstrated experience with statistical and modeling tools, such as R and Python
- Demonstrated experience working with various business partners to scope and design the statistical framework for business experiments and socialize and help integrate results of analysis of experiments.
