POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Bilingual Administrative Assistant
Reports to: TGP Bridges to Growth Coordinator
Schedule: 20 Avg Hours Per Week, Part-Time/Non-exempt
Hours: Monday & Tuesday 1pm-5pm, Wednesday 1pm-8pm, Thursday 1pm-6pm
Salary Range: $20/hour

Job Purpose and Scope:
- Responsible for managing daily administrative operations for a family-focused nonprofit program. The ideal individual is organized, detail-oriented, tech-savvy, thrives in a collaborative, team-based environment, and enjoys interacting with parents and children in both languages.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree, plus at least one year of administrative experience. Work experience or training certificate in related field may be substituted for degree.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Google Suite; comfortable with learning new software and technology.
- Detail-oriented with strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort interacting with adults and children.
- Must be able to sit for a period of time to complete administrative work. Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
Major Responsibilities:
- Processes class registration, prepares sign in sheets and evaluation forms, and corresponds with registrants via email.
- Assists with data entry.
- Assists in the office, answering phones, assisting walk-in clients, and sharing information about Bridges to Growth.
- Sets up/takes down classrooms for events.
- Interacts with contracted educators, assisting and educating them with Bridges to Growth procedures and classroom technology.
- Represents The Georgetown Project Bridges to Growth at community events on occasion.
Working Relationships:
- Must be comfortable with a team-oriented staff that values collaboration, innovation, and a good sense of humor.
- Must be comfortable interacting with children of all ages, parents and caregivers, community members, non-profit partners, community agencies and organizations, board members, volunteers, and donors.
- Must be comfortable working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Must demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, respectful, and responsible in all settings.
