As a Unit Secretary you will be an essential part of our team, whose job is to provide clerical support to the nursing units. This individual will answer telephones, directs incoming telephone calls, and record messages. The Unit Secretary will monitor resident call bell system, stock unit supplies, input computer information and records entries. The Unit Secretary also helps with Scheduling resident appointments, transportation arrangements and greets and assists visitors to the unit. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating and managing the clerical duties of the nursing unit.
- Supports and promotes the medical records and nursing department functions by following established policies and procedures.
- Copies and faxes documents as directed. Files records and information in a timely manner as per facility policy and procedure.
- Monitors inventory of unit supplies, orders and stocks unit supplies as necessary.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED/TASC preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate tasks and assignments.
- Ability to interact appropriately and professionally with staff, residents, vendors, and volunteers.
- Long term care experience preferred
