Child Care Center Director

The Goddard School® located in Federal Way is looking for a motivated, self-starter for a director position at our new school. A bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field and management experience in a licensed childcare center or preschool is preferred. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and have a clear understanding of a developmentally appropriate learning program for young children. In addition, the candidate will possess the ability to motivate and inspire others.

The Director role includes:

· Overseeing operations including human resources, quality assurance and facility operations

· Implementing the School’s education program

· Supporting faculty development

· Developing strong relationships with School faculty and families

· Managing a budget

· Complying with state childcare licensing regulations

· Projecting a positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrating highly-effective organizational, time management and multitasking skills

· Having a genuine love for children and a strong commitment to education

Qualifications:

· BA or BS Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education or related field

· Prior managerial experience in an Early Childhood and/or preschool setting

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Teambuilder

· Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement

· State qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
