Job Duties: Vice President with The Ayco Company, L.P., A Goldman Sachs Company in Cohoes, New York. Full software development lifecycle (SDLC) of software solutions for different wealth businesses including software design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance and support using Java, AngularJS, messaging, scripting, SVN/GIT, Autosys, Spring and JIRA. Build in-depth knowledge of the business and work closely, directly and independently with the business users and other technology groups to analyze and translate requirements into well engineered business applications. Drive the decision-making process for technical design by leading design discussions, evaluating viable design options, and selecting tools necessary to build, test, and support systems. Work closely with the different teams to solve business problems and encourage reusability and good practices. Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide estimates for implementing new features. Independently create and maintain test plans, documentation, and automated testing routines for all technical changes as well as perform software releases. Identify issues and apply remediation strategies to address application incidents. Provide technical guidance to junior members. Review code developed by peers and junior team members.

Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Sciences and Technologies, Information Systems, a related field such as Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related software development role OR Bachelor's degree (U.S. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Sciences and Technologies, Information Systems, a related field such as Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related software development role. Prior experience must include three (3) years of experience (with Master's) or five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor's) with: building scalable REST APIs in Java; implementing design patterns utilizing micro-services; working with UI technologies including React, HTML, JavaScript or CSS; using relational and NoSQL databases technologies such as Sybase or MongoDB; developing large scale applications using technologies including Java, Sybase, Angular JS; and CVS/SVN, Autosys or Spring technologies; and working across the full software development life cycle, from initial analysis and requirements gathering with users, through design, development, QA testing and production release.

Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this Cohoes, New York, United States-based position is: $135,000 - $215,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
