Christian Assistant Preschool Teacher

About us

Highway Christian Academy is a growing, faith-based preschool in the Fredericksburg area. As such, candidates for hire must be committed Christians.

We are seeking a passionate Christian individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with preschoolers and managing behavior. However, experience is not necessary as an assistant teacher.

Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of age-appropriate curriculums for preschool-aged children
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
- Manage behavior in a positive and effective manner
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for all children in the program

Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage behavior effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members

-CPR certified and first aid trained, or willing to obtain

- Must pass a background check and FBI fingerprinting
