Elementary Spanish Teacher
Overview: The Spanish Teacher will plan, organize, administer, and direct all activities for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. The goal of the job is to implement the Mission Statement of the school while providing the maximum opportunity for student development.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Credentials/Minimum Requirements:
- Holds a current certification in Elementary School, Spanish Education not to expire before the end of the upcoming school year
- Holds an undergraduate or a graduate degree in education, Spanish education, literature, composition or relevant related field in Spanish studies
2. Instructional Responsibilities:
- Excellent communication skills and listening skills
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish preferred
- Proficiency with database systems such as Google, Microsoft Office, Outlook etc.
- Knowledge of K-5 curriculum and instruction for individuals and groups or 6-9 curriculum in subjects or special area
- Plans for and teaches all assigned classes
- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals
- Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicates these objectives to students.
- Employs a variety of teaching and learning strategies in order to reach all students.
- Encourages the development of productive skills through appropriate assignments.
- Evaluates student learning and performance fairly and consistently
- Maintains accurate and updated records of students
- Supports school policies and procedures.
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills in communication with students, colleagues, staff and administrators as an individual or as a part of a team.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

All staff and students Pre-K and above are required to wear masks indoors.

Experience:
- Spanish Teaching: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Florida Teaching Certificate (Preferred)
