The Greater Morristown YMCA is seeking an Assistant Swim Coach. Located in Cedar Knolls, NJ, the prospective candidate would be working with children and teens on our 100 member team. This year-round swim team is a YMCA and USA Swimming sanctioned team.
Hours & Salary:
The Greater Morristown YMCA is seeking staff with the ability to work 5-15 hours weekly based on practice and meet schedules. Hours include evening hours. Some weekend hours are required based upon meet schedule
Salary is per hour – rates vary by based on experience.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Creating and executing goal driven practices
- Reviewing and submitting meet entries
- Coaching and mentoring swimmers during swim meets and practices
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous Coaching/Instructing experience required
- American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification or equivalent.
- American Red Cross Safety Training for Swim Coaches
- USA Swimming certifications and YMCA Principles of Competitive Swimming and Diving a plus.
- Experience with swim meet and team management software such as Team Manager, Meet Manager and Team Unify a plus.
