What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser position at The Grove At Centerton, LLC?
The Busser is the assistant to the Servers. The busser cleans tables, takes plates, utensils and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, makes sure diners' water glasses are full, and resets tables for the next service. They may help servers bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Prepare dining room for patrons by cleaning and clothing tables; setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
- Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash bags, and bus stations.
- Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
- Offer friendly and warm greetings to all restaurant and hotel guests.
- Promptly fill water glasses of newly seated restaurant guests.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in staff training opportunities.
- Must be flexible and willing to work a varied schedule.
- Nights, weekends, and holiday hours required.
- Other duties as assigned.
