General Summary of Duties
Responsible for providing quality service to golf members and guests in the areas of the golf bag drop & bag room, cart staging and the practice range.
Typical Physical/Mental Demands
Requires mobility and prolonged standing. Bending and reaching to a height of eight feet. Transporting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering items weighing up to thirty (30) pounds. Working at a height of four (4) feet. Normal sense of smell, taste, touch, and sound. Normal vision range. Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Ability to distinguish letter, figures, symbols, and colors.Work may be performed in small areas having a three-foot access. Work entails chemical usage. Ability to tolerate varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
Examples of Duties (including but not limited to the following)
- Work well in a team atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service.
- Provide carts for Members and Guests in a courteous and friendly manner while keeping all work areas clean, orderly and safe.
- Assist with carrying member golf bags and cleaning member clubs.
- Range tee duties include restacking range ball pyramids, moving stations, and moving the range
each day to provide the best hitting area for our members.
- Work with Professional staff to ensure that all club rules including dress code and golf course
policies are followed by the Members and Guests.
- Work with the Professional Golf Staff to ensure tournaments are run in an efficient and
professional manner while ensuring that guests have the best possible experience at our Club.
- Assist the Supervisor with Cart Fleet Maintenance and keep all repairs up to date.
- Must be able to work in a fast pace environment while maintaining a good attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and club patrons is a must.
- Moderate to Heavy lifting required.
- Ensures proper record keeping and communication verbally and in writing.
- Ensures sound safety habits are practiced and enforces established security procedures.
- Immediately communicates through responsible channels all problems pertaining to engineering/maintenance problems, supplies as well as losses, damage, breakage, and all other irregularities as soon as they occur.
- Handles all “Lost and Found” items for his/her guests as per the Club policy.
- Always ensures professional conduct in general and with proper etiquette.
- Consistently provides high standard of service, anticipates, and attends to members’ requests in his or her assigned area.
- Consistently checks on the member satisfaction, comfort and verify’s accuracy of services provided, adjusts and corrects as needed while communicating escalated or unresolved service flaws to his/her supervisor.
· Performs other reasonable duties requested by management.
- The Club operates with flexible business hours. Therefore, you may be scheduled to work shifts, which may change from time to time.
- Responds quickly and positively to guests’ questions, requests, problems, and complaints and resolves them effectively and consistently.
- Always smiles and engages our members first, using their name when appropriate and always maintaining eye contact.
- Always demonstrates departmental knowledge and efficiency.
- Stays well groomed, looking professional, clean, and appropriately fitted in compliance with the club’s standards.
- Follow and enforce health, welfare, and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all guests and fellow team members.
- Practice good hygiene prior to reporting to work and when returning to your assigned workstation. This includes, but is not limited to washing your hands, avoid touching your face, limiting unnecessary physical contact with others, coughing/sneezing into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, and disinfecting frequently used items and surfaces in your work area as directed by Management using company provided cleaning products.
- Wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment such as masks or gloves from time to time as directed by the Company.
Required Qualifications
· Ability to plan, organize and execute requests.
· Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff Excellent command of the English Language.
· Ability to work in a self-motivated environment with little supervision.
· Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required.
