The Guidance Center (TGC) is the Community Mental Health Center for Leavenworth, Atchison, and Jefferson counties in Kansas. Salary and Benefits for Youth Attendant Care Worker - School Based:
- Base hourly rate of $19.69 to $22.10 based on relevant experience.
- Monday – Friday schedule, no weekends or on call responsibilities

Primary Duties for Youth Attendant Care Worker - School Based:
- Assist with promoting successful group interactions among clients.
- Provide individual attendant care services which assist with promoting successful completion of daily activities and assist with promoting successful group interactions with others.
- Encourage and support clients’ engagement in Youth Psychosocial Program activities.
- Encourage and support clients’ efforts to effectively problem-solve and interact with others.
- During summer months, assist with Summer Psychosocial Program. Facilitate/co-facilitate groups as assigned.
- Serve as Attendant on van transportation routes during Summer Psychosocial Program.
Minimum Qualifications for Youth Attendant Care Worker - School Based:
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or GED required. Must have completed one year of college course work in the field of human services, or have one year of experience in the field of human services, or one year combination of education and work experience in the field of human services
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Six months experience working with individuals in the community. Experience gained through practicum experience or volunteer work can be included.
Preferred:
- experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
