Position: Program Assistant, Mobile Crisis Response Team
Program/Department: Integrated Services
Reports To: Clinical Coordinator
Location: Mount Vernon and/or New Rochelle
Hours: 35 hours / Full-time
Salary: $30,000 – $40,000
Position Summary: The Program Assistant will provide a range of administrative and program-related support for The Guidance Center of Westchester’s (TGCW) newly created mobile crisis response teams (MCRTs). The assistant will be a vital member of the MCRT multidisciplinary team comprising of social workers, mental health counselors, peers, and psychiatric provider(s). The program assistant performs a range of tasks to ensure that TGCW’s MCRT provides effective services that are person-centered and utilizes evidence-based assessment and treatment methods.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to the mobile crisis response team(s).
  • Collaborate with mobile crisis response team Clinical Coordinator, social worker(s), mental health counselor(s), peer team members, psychiatric provider, local law enforcement, and the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health liaison to support the effective operations of the program.
  • Answer phone calls from internal callers and external community stakeholders related to the program and participant care.
  • Take notes for multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferencing.
  • Perform administrative tasks in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Run reports from the EHR and other programs to submit all required reporting related to service levels, quality of care, program and participant outcomes, and financial success.
  • Participate in staff training and support the team in the coordination of off-site and on-site trainings/trainers.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED required. Associates Degree preferred.
  • 2 year experience in human services or related field. Internships okay.
  • Working knowledge of EHR systems, myEvolv a plus.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, with emphasis on Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in video conferencing apps i.e., Zoom.
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels in a professional manner.
Travel Requirements: Less than ~10%
