ROLE SUMMARY
We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern with an interest in Information Technology and Software Development to join our organization for the Summer of 2024. The IT Intern will assist the Technology department who oversees day-to-day corporate and venue IT operations to support the growth and goals of The h.wood Group. You will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of the departments daily procedures and operations while gaining valuable insight to further your interest in your chosen career field.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Supporting the installation and configuration of hardware and software components to ensure usability.
Assisting with troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Assist with repairing and replacing damaged hardware and software.
Providing support to users and establishing good relationships with all departments
Assisting with replacing faulty network hardware components when required
Coordinating computer network access and use
Conferring with network users about solving existing system problems
Answer email correspondence for the department and assisting in scheduling of meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be enrolled in an accredited college with a focus in Information Technology, Software Development, Information Systems, or related courses to receive credit.
Proficient in Windows, Mac, IOS, and Android operating systems
Ability to troubleshoot network infrastructure devices.
Knowledge in database programming and software installation.
Self-directed and able to work without supervision.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
