Men's Locker Room Attendant

The Hartford Golf Club is a private country club located in West Hartford. It is the premier club in the Hartford region offering a rich tradition of sports, fine dining, and family-focused activities. The 30,000 square foot Clubhouse sits on 256 acres of impeccably maintained grounds.

The Club has an extensive selection of world-class facilities for all ages, including a 27 hole golf course, 9 Har Tru tennis courts, 4 international squash courts, 6 outdoor platform tennis courts, 3 pickleball courts, 3 pools, 4 lane duckpin bowling alley, and a state of the art fitness facility

Responsibilities

• Pick up and wash hand and bath towels as needed.
• Fold towels and ensure adequate supply.
• Fill all locker room amenities (soap, shaving cream, lotion) daily.
• Ensure the shower soap, shampoo and conditioner containers are filled.
• Pick up, shine/clean and return street and golf shoes.
• Dust surfaces, clean flooring. Vacuum as needed.
• Janitorial duties including cleaning locker room toilets, showers, sinks
• Ensure locker room is clean and tidy at all times.
• Pick up trash and deposit in the dumpster at the end of every shift.
• Meet and greet guests when the doorbell rings.
• Monitor the bowling alley and assist members and guests with functionality of equipment.
• Clean and maintain bowling alley area
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Skills/Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work 35 - 45 hours a week, depending on season
• One weekend day per week required; schedule will vary depending on the season.
• Previous Customer Service experience strongly preferred.
• Positive attitude and strong communication skills
• Willingness to learn HGC procedures.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• Must be able to continuously move about the club/grounds or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform tasks involving bending, reaching, leaning and related motions.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, assist where needed, and carry heavy objects (up to 25 lbs)
