HR Program Director
Overview:
As part of the HR Technology, Projects and Change Management (“TPCM”) team, the HR Program Director will both lead significant HR projects and related change management, as well as lead improvement of overall project and change management capabilities across the team. This role can be remotely based anywhere within the U.S. however meetings will generally align to an east-coast time zone.
Responsibilities:
Improve project management capabilities across TPCM
Continuously refine standard Project Management Workbook
Monitor, measure, and report on adherence to Workbook (post implementation reviews)
Coach and train for continuous improvement of project management capabilities across TPCM
Establish more robust change management capabilities and process across TPCM
Build out change management discipline as part of Project Management Workbook
Monitor, measure, and report on adherence to change management components Workbook (post implementation reviews)
Coach and train for continuous improvement of change management capabilities across TPCM and HR
Improve coordination and planning of project work across the portfolio
Evolve the current project planning process to improve project scheduling, co-ordination, and planning for the entire portfolio of TPCM efforts
Measure and report productivity statistics, drive for improvements
Lead HR Projects as assigned
Enterprise-wide projects that span HR domain and can
Address complex business initiatives
Involve both process and technology components
Have a scope that is subject to change
Contain a high degree of risk
HR projects that center around a single domain and are largely technology driven
Small systems change orders

Qualifications:
A minimum of seven years of experience in Program and/or Project management. At least two years of experience leading enterprise-wide projects with a change management component in a complex corporate environment required. Insurance and/or Financial Services experience preferred
Some Six Sigma/PMI and/or Agile certification and demonstrated application of a high level of project management expertise required
Formal change management training and demonstrated application of a high level of change management expertise required
Demonstrated effective relationship and influencing skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Workday experience a plus
Self-motivated; able to work autonomously; excellent teamwork skills; strong focus on execution and delivery
Bachelor’s degree and/or specialized training or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree a plus
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
