Job Title: Development Associate (Part-Time)
The South Carolina Governor’s School for the Arts and Humanities Foundation seeks a development associate. The Governor’s School is a statewide public school that serves South Carolina’s most promising young artists. The Governor’s School Foundation raises funds to support the school and its mission. We are located in beautiful Falls Park on the Reedy River in downtown Greenville.
The development associate is a skilled communicator who will support our team in generating financial resources by applying for grants, soliciting donors, planning events, and cultivating strong relationships with potential donors and institutions. The development associate should possess strong organizational, multi-tasking, interpersonal, and information-management skills.
What you should know:
The position is part-time – 20/hours a week.
Employees work in the Greenville office with the potential to work remotely two days per week after an introductory period.
The salary range is $20-to-$23 an hour with the potential for an annual bonus.
The foundation offers a 401K plan with match.
Who You Are:
We are looking for a candidate with the following characteristics:
Has experience raising funds or working in direct sales and enjoys the process of figuring out how to help clients/donors meet their needs while supporting yours.
Has experience locating, researching, and applying for grant opportunities.
Fast-paced and detail-oriented, bringing a passion for making things work well and an ability to handle a large volume of work by prioritizing the most impactful tasks while keeping the others on track.
An excellent communicator and collaborator who values the diverse perspectives of many constituents and can manage across lines of difference by quickly gaining trust and rapport through warmth, humility, optimism, and humor.
Has a knack for finding creative solutions to everyday challenges.
Passionate about the arts and/or public education.
Experienced in planning events, including providing creative direction, logistical management, budget management, decor sourcing, and vendor curation.
Has a knack for quickly executing detail-oriented tasks and seeing the finished results.
Qualifications:
Three years of related work experience.
