Gate Officer

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Responsible and accountable to his/her immediate supervisor in the Chain of Command. Maintain the enforcement responsibility for adopted Rules and Regulations. Ensure the public safety of Association members, guests, employees, and contractors.

Public Safety Gate Officer:

• Issue guest, visitor and contractor passes as warranted.
• Oversee money deposits entered into vault. (North gate location only)
• Monitor member, guest, contractor, and vendor activity.
• When needed respond to telephone inquiries, and or calls for assistance from members and authorized guests.
• Rely necessary information to control center.
• Maintain clear and constant visual surveillance of gate access points from physical line of sight and CCTV equipment.
• Be aware of, and conform to the Rules and Regulations of the Community in addition to understanding and conforming to any relative operations orders, etc.
• Take complaints from within the Community and issue Suggestion/Complaint forms when warranted.
• Function as a backup for the Control Center. (North gate location only)

EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

1. Ability to deal with the public.

2. First Aid/CPR/AED certification (Not required at time of hire, but will need to attend certification class outside of regularly scheduled hours after hire).

3. Must possess a valid PA Driver’s License.

4. Must possess High School Diploma / GED.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. May be asked to work overtime or double shifts.

2. Must be in Hideout issued uniform while on duty. The Public Safety Manger must approve any exception to this rule.

3. Attendance at Public Safety related seminars sponsored by The Hideout is recommended for all Officers.

SAFETY HAZARDS OF THE JOB:

• Public Safety Officers carry heavy responsibilities and sometimes work irregular hours - this may cause stress and possible burnout.
• They may suffer serious bodily injury through acts of crime, violence or interaction with irate individuals.

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
