We are seeking a Yard Worker / Forklift Operator for the Southwest Harbor Location. This position is hauling and launching boats, blocking boats, bottom painting, and general maintenance in the marina.
Essential Duties :
Hauling and Launching of Boats, plus blocking.
Monitors VHF for vessel activity.
Assists Parts Department by delivering parts to vessels and driving to pick up parts as needed.
Prepares work activity reports for service managers and supervisors updated daily.
Basic mechanical aptitude, ability to make minor repairs after hours if needed.
Be able to pick up items deliver up to 30 lbs.
Travel lift movement and hauling using 70 ton to 100-ton machines.
Follows prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.
Painting on occasion of bottom of boats.
Performs other related duties, as necessary.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work alone or with a team.
Must have valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Marine experience preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills.
